Can I import my data from InTouch?
YES! Beauty Advisor includes several InTouch imports. You can import your customers (PCP or MyCustomers), customer orders, product orders, consultants, unit/team production and weekly accomplishments.
Does Beauty Advisor interface with my Palm or Pocket PC?
YES! Our Palm and Pocket PC programs are included for FREE. The interface features include customers, history, invoice/receipt creation, inventory, calendar, To Do List, follow-ups, expenses, phone auto-dialing, contacts and consultants.
Do I have to pay a subscription fee to keep the Mary Kay products updated in Beauty Advisor?
NO! Product Updates are always FREE and are unrestricted with Beauty Advisor. Other programs may charge a fee or place restrictions on this service.
Does your company pay a referral bonus?
YES! Creative Computer Software mails you a $10 check for each person that you refer to Beauty Advisor and purchases the software. There are no limits on the number of referral checks that you can earn.
How does Beauty Advisor compare with Boulevard®?
Beauty Advisor has over 30 significant features that are not available in this other program. Listed below are some of the highlights:
- Beauty Advisor has a dedicated Personal Use screen that updates to your inventory and accounting automatically. With Blvd, you need to make yourself a customer and sell yourself products. Your personal use is then mixed in with your customer sales and the accounting is treated as a sale.
- Beauty Advisor includes an integrated Letter and Post Card feature. You can incorporate clipart, edit fonts, text alignment and more. Your return address plus the customer's name and address print automatically. With Blvd, you need to use your own, separate Word Processing program and manually update the addresses.
- Beauty Advisor provides a Check Register with reconciliation feature to handle an unlimited number of accounts. This feature is not available in Blvd.
- Beauty Advisor gives you the ability to create automatic Bank Deposits that post to the Check Register with a detail history for each deposit. This feature is not available in Blvd.
- Beauty Advisor is the only Mary Kay software that provides a Budget Tracking feature within our comprehensive accounting package.
- Beauty Advisor prints your IRS Schedule C and many other tax forms. These features are not available in Blvd.
- Beauty Advisor's customer profile screen is modeled after and is in the same order as the newest profile card (both Side 1 and 2) and contains pre-profiling questions. We provide you with unlimited "Notes" areas to record additional information. Blvd's profile information is spread across several different tabs and the pre-profiling questions are not available.
- Beauty Advisor allows for 7 to 11 phone numbers that you can customize. Blvd only allows for 4 numbers.
- Beauty Advisor is the only software that creates a list of suggested products for your customers.
- Beauty Advisor provides the option to include a picture of your customer, contact and consultant in their profile screen. This is another Beauty Advisor exclusive feature.
- Beauty Advisor creates the Business Tracking Register (60/40 profit split) with imports from customer, product orders and personal use. You can customize the categories and percentages. Blvd does not offer this feature.
- Beauty Advisor's Palm and Pocket PC programs give you the ability to interface the customer's complete profile card (summer/winter formula, wish list, etc), includes phone auto-dialing, customer history, creates new customer orders with a printable invoice, tracks inventory, contacts, consultants, expenses, Follow-Up's, To Do Lists and calendar, all of which are integrated into one program. Blvd does not offer the customer's full profile card, phone auto-dialing or expense tracking. In addition, their handheld features are not integrated. They are split into 3 different applications while the Pocket PC does not include a calendar feature.
- Beauty Advisor has an exclusive feature to create automatic Forecasted Product Orders that are based on actual customer sales.
- Beauty Advisor's Follow-Up History is displayed on each Follow-Up screen (the previous Follow-ups and sales history). The history is not provided with Blvd.
- Beauty Advisor's Weekly Accomplishment calculates Year-To-Date totals for both Calendar and Seminar. With Blvd, you have to choose one or the other.
- Beauty Advisor is the only software to provide a Group Follow-Up feature. You can apply one follow-up to a group of customers, contacts or consultants.
- Beauty Advisor offers an InTouch, Customer Birthday/Anniversary Import feature. This feature is not available in Blvd.
- Beauty Advisor offers a feature to create a map with written directions to your customer, contact or consultant house. Blvd does not offer this feature.
- Beauty Advisor's product listing is displayed in the same order as Mary Kay's order form. Blvd's is alphabetical.
- Beauty Advisor provides an exclusive Credit Card Validation feature for your customers’ credit cards.
- Beauty Advisor Online is a secured, web-based program that is available to use along with your Beauty Advisor desktop program. No other program offers both a desktop-based program and a web-based program interfaces the data.
- Beauty Advisor is the only MK software that offers an import of your online banking transactions.
- Beauty Advisor is the only MK software that provides the ability to print checks within the software.
- Beauty Advisor is the only MK software that offers and import/export to/from Outlook.
- Voice-Com/Voice-Tel listings can be created with Beauty Advisor. This feature is not available in Blvd.
- Beauty Advisor includes 216 images of clipart for FREE. Clipart is not available in Blvd.
- Beauty Advisor is the only company that pays a CASH referral bonus - $10 for each and every referral, UNLIMITED. This is our way of saying "Thank You" for your loyalty.
- Beauty Advisor includes a Web Favorites feature that lets you setup direct links to your favorite websites. This feature is not available in Blvd.
- Product Updates are always FREE with Beauty Advisor and are available EVERY time the order form changes. In addition, we provide support for this FREE service. With Blvd Product Update downloads, you must be on the newest version of their program. Blvd provides NO support or help for their downloads. If you want support or help for Blvd Product Updates, you have to pay for it in the amount of $30 to $40 per year for their mailed subscription service.
